This time of year, hockey fans want to know when will the 2025-26 NHL schedule be released? Every year it is a bit different. Based on the the last few seasons, we expect that the schedule will come out on either Tuesday June 23rd or July 5th. It could of course, get released on any days around those. We’ll show you when the league released the skeds for us the past several years too.
When Will the 2025-26 NHL Schedule be Released?
When we want to know when will the 2025-26 NHL schedule be released, we decided to take a look at the past six schedule releases. We added two pre-COVID just for good measure. From this we see that the NHL has recently preferred Tuesdays the most for a release. Thursdays are the second most popular date. If they release the schedule early, it would be on June 24th or 26th. If later, then July 1st or July 3rd seem to be the dates. We’ll have to wait and see.

When Do the 2025 NHL Preseason Schedules Come Out?
Soon after we see the NHL regular season schedules released, we’ll start seeing each team put out their 2025 NHL preseason schedule. Similar to the NBA, each club puts these matches out on their own. We’ll keep you updated on the progress. We also have last season’s regular season schedules you can check out as well as the 2026 NHL Playoff schedule. Before you know it, it will be time to kickoff the preseason and regular season play. For fans of teams not in the Stanley Cup Final, this can’t come soon enough.
