Stanley Cup Winners; List of all the Champions, Finals Results

Stanley Cup Winners

The Stanley Cup winners list that we have for you dates to 1927 when the NHL took over the competition. The first time the cup was ever won was in 1893 by the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association. Fast forward to the 1926-27 hockey season, and the Stanley Cup has been the award for the National Hockey League (NHL) Playoff champion. The same is true for today. We have all of the winners (and runners-up) for you listed along with the match results (games won by each team).

Stanley Cup Winners (2000-2025)

The Stanley Cup is played as a best-of-seven series for the last two teams remaining in the NHL Playoffs. The winner takes home the NHL Championship. We have not seen a team from Canada win the Stanley Cup since Montreal won in 1993. 2023 saw the Las Vegas Golden Knights win for the first time and Florida won in 2024 over Edmonton. No doubt, we’ll be in for an exciting 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs as well as the 2024-25 NHL regular season schedule winds down. The Stanley Cup winners from 2000 to 2025 (when complete) are listed in the first table for you. The Florida Panthers won the most recent Stanley Cup Finals in 2024 over the Edmonton Oilers.
